AutoCAD freezes

Hi,,,i have recently installed a trial of AutoCAD 2002 and when ever i create any object and choose to look at it in 3d orbit the whole system crashes. The system never struggles with the images because i have 900 Mhz and 512 mg of ram but it lockes up at ramdom. Anyone know why?
