Hi everybody
It may be so simple for you, but I'm dying to know if there's a way to print the contents of a folder. What can I do to print the list of all files in "My Documents" or any other folder and if possible their last access date and size?
I add a print key to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder\shell but I have no idea what to do for the default value of command key.
Or Is there another way to print the contents of a folder, without any change in registry?
Any kind of idea would be appreciated.

I haven't tried this out but the screen captures look as if this is exactly what you need. It's a freeware utility called Widget Print Directory.

My way: I open a command [DOS] prompt, navigate to the folder I want, and type DIR/O>PRN. If that doesn't work [depends on the printer and its hookup] I'll use DIR/O>DIR.TXT. This creates a text file in the folder that you can later print, edit, etc. The information obtained is usually the file name [8.3 format], size, date/time created, and long file name [except in WinXP/2000 you get only the long file name].
And you can put the file elsewhere, i.e. DIR/O>C:\TEMP\DIR.TXT. The DIR.TXT can be any name you want but keep the .txt so all word processors can open it. And the /O organizes the files by name, there are other switches available.

Hey Wizard!
I'm not sure either, but I believe I saw it first at David Candy's site:

That guy's got some excellent info.

Thanks for your reply.
I followed you and had what I was looking for.
Since I'm not too familiar with DOS , I'm looking for a site about the details on DOS .
If you know any, I'ld be appreciated if you post me the link.

You're welcome.
This looks like a good site:
<a target="_blank" href=http://www.butterwick0.freeserve.co.uk/tutor/menu.html>http://www.butterwick0.freeserve.co.uk/tutor/menu.html</a>
Then there is always the book DOS for Dummies, quite informative.
