Adaptec Shared Key

I was told by a techie to goto regedit and delete an "Adaptec Shared Key". Any Idea what this key is named? or is this a term meaning something specific?
Two locations told to delete this was HKey_Local_Machine/software/Adaptec and HKey_Current_User/software/Adaptec

Saw an actual file folder under the second address named "Adaptec Shared", but not under the first.

Do I just need to remove the second folder?

That seems a reasonable assumption.
After all, you can't delete a reg key that's not there...

You appear just to have the one.
