My network consists of three computers. Two running Windows ME and one running Windows XP Pro which was upgraded from ME. My XP PC conects to the internet through a modem and the other two conect to the internet through the XP PC. That portion of my network is fine. The problem I am having is when I try to view files on my XP PC from my two ME PC's I get a box that pops up asking for a network password. I remember placing a password on the XP PC for file and drive sharing when it was still running ME. With XP I can find no where to remove or change that password for a specific drive or file. I haven't used the two ME PC'c in a while and I have forgot the password. Is there anyway to reset the password?

login in to the XP machine as admin. Right click on the folder/file and select sharing/security then permissions. There's an option in there for the admin to take ownership of the folder/files. go ahead and do so. Then reshare the folders/files and add the everyone group.
Next go Control Panel/Administrative Tools/Computer Management/User and Groups/Users. Enable the guest account. This will stop the Network Password dialog box from appearing when your trying to access resources from the ME boxes.
