Start Menu Horizontal Rule

Howdy folks
was wondering if anybody knows how to add horizontal rules in yer Start Menu ? like say, one above Help. ? I use Win98 SE. I can't even find the registry key for the <HR> above Programs.

That's because there are none. The start menu is controlled by both the registry and explorer.exe. I've never been able to produce the menu separators myself and am repeatedly told it can't be done.

You're right. That one's hard-coded in Explorer.exe

Never tried in win98, but under NT4 additional bars appear for user profiles as Allusers, Defaultuser, YourNameUser. Allusers gives one bar more in startmenu, defaultuser gives on more in programs. Maybe this is the key to find some more clues on it.
