When I open the properties for either of my cdrom drive (dvd and cdrw) a message pops up which says "Windows could not load the installer for CDROM. Contact your hardware vendor for assistance.". However my two drives do work properly. After I've updated my firmware for my cd writer Windows begins to prompt me to choose a driver for it but this error message (from above) pops up again. I always need to click Cancel because I cannot manually select a driver nor do the scan which will have Windows to search for the files automatically.
Has anyone experienced something similar? Please help me!
