Only a longshot but why not try anyway?
If you haven't used your computer much since you deleted them maybe you will find them in the "recycled bin". If they are not there, you might try downloading this program on trial which allows you access to recently deleted documents. Its very easy to use and doesn't leave a mess behind when uninstalled. I would try it right away before you totally overwrite your photo's.
