I am trying to remove the file protection on windows 2k release 2. I have to edit a value in a dll with a hex editor. It says at offset 00006211 which I do not understand, could anyone tell me what this means ?

HI cliffman,
if you open the dll in a hexeditor and look on the left side you will find the number 00006210 and beside it you will find 2 bites and then a space and then 2 more bites these are 00006211 and the a space and 2 more bites these are 00006212 which you will need to change as well
good luck
