I've been running with W2k Pro in and AD domain for about a year, using Group Policy to lock things down and centrally administer the workstations. I have recently introduced som XP Pro workstations into the mix and they do not appear to be receiving all the GPO settings that I have made, such as IE settings (User Settings - Software Settings - IE maintenance) using Resultant Set of Policies shows some very strange results on an XP system, whereas on a W2K Pro system, everything is how I would expect. Should I delete the GPO and start again?
TIA, Danny

You might make a separate OU within the AD to accomodate the XP machines, and then create a GPO just for that OU... this will allow you to tweak the policies for the new systems and not hose the ones that are working just fine... once both are to your liking you might look into writing a third policy to put the little rascals in the same playpen

just finished reading somewhere that: with both 2k & xp machine, use an xp workstation to set & manage GP.....I'll track it it down & post it.
