I have a windows ME pc that has a virus and it won't boot. I need a utility that will let me open the registry from dos and extract a rogue key from the startup section of the explorer key.

Any ideas how or what would let me do this.

If you have a second PC or second bootable HDD you could add the failing drive as the secondary drive and there is a utility on the downloads page (resplendent registrar) that will allow you to open the slave registry. You can then edit it from there. The trial version is free.
