Is it possible to Disable/Enable the Print Screen function?
I have a Windows NT 4 box that it doesn't work on, all though the clipboard appears to work, evidenced by the <cntrl c> & <cntrl v> functions working.
Thanks

Print Screen is working properly. With the advent of Windows 95/NT4, the key operates differently that in earlier versions. Without the help of third party software, it only copies to the clipboard.

I think I was misunderstood. I want it to copy to the clipboard! Currently when you hit print screen nothing happens.
I mentioned that the clip board works becasue I can <cntrl c> & <cntrl v>
When I press print screen , and go to paint there is nothing on the clipboard.
Is there a registry setting for this?
I found some third party softwar ebut it only seems to enavble print screen to output to the printer which is not what I want
Thanks

Oh! Usually when I hit Prnt Scrn, I go to Paint, Edit, and Paste (right-click & paste doesn't work the first time Paint is opened, but leave it open and it will work every time until Paint is closed). The image will stay on the clipboard available to ALL other programs until another Prnt Scrn or copy function overwrites it. Essentially clipboard is hidden unless you install a clipboard viewer.

Well tried that just for S&G. Nada. What I did notice was that the paste does work however there's no picture! There's a dotted outline of where it should be, lol.
I think it's a non-standard keyboard on theis propriatary machine that's causeing the problem, cause best I can tell their isn't a REG setting that affects this. Unfourtunately all of the third party tools I can find are only to send to printer, so out of ideas. I don't really want to send to printer then scan back in!

Is it a language setting for the region that may have re-mapped the keyboard? Is it possible to try a different keyboard? Also, you don't have to send it to Paint, try Word or WordPerfect or any one you might have of a number of graphics programs and see what the results are. I remember there being a replacement mspaint.exe file after installing either Office/Word 97 or 2000.
