Does anyone know if it is possible to move some of the profiles (users) on an WINNT 4.0 server box to a WIN2K server? And if it is possible, how do you do it. We're upgrading our infrastructure step by step and we don't want the Win2K box on the domain yet. Any help will be truly grateful.

Are you using two separate domains (one NT and one 2000)?

You could establish a one way non-transitive trust between your NT domain and your 2000 Domain and then use Active Directory Users and Computers to copy the accounts between domains.

It will list each domain and all the objects within that domain... you can copy from one domain to the other within a forest (should be as simple as drag and drop) taking users from the NT domain and placing them in the proper Organizational Units within the Windows 2000 domain...
