View Full Version : marscore.dll
Than kyou guys and girls for the answers to my questions. They've been great.
Has anyone heard of marscore.dll? It appeared missing when I tried WinME help. Even MS knows nothing about it.

I wonder if you have read these articles. Apparently you have a new version of 'Whistler" which was only released for "beta" testing
<a target="_blank" href=http://www.nwfusion.com/news/2000/0321whistler.html>Microsoft's Whistler gets unscheduled debut</a>
<a target="_blank" href=http://www.zdnet.com/zdnn/stories/news/0,4586,2471310,00.html>Windows 2001 leaked on the Web</a>
The reason you cannot find the file seems to be explained as follows:

Just one small comment. For some reason marscore.dll is named marspch.dll and
can be found in Win_12.cab. This means one cannot use MSConfig to replace it,
even in Safe Mode. The file needs to be extracted from the cab by hand, renamed
and then used to replace the possibly corrupt file whilst in Safe Mode.

That being said Microsoft Knowledge Base seems to offer some support
