Someone told me that there is a fix for using >512 ram when using Win2k. I have a SD-11 motherboard, 900 Athlon Slot. My problem is when i increased my memory to 768 the systems shuts down and reboots. after a few time it becomes stable.
I would like to thank you in advance for the help

You don't say whether the motherboard book says it will actually support 768MB ram. Many will only support up to 512MB.

According to the spec's it should work.
Thanks.

Hi,
i use the same board with athlon 650.
due to a couple of issues (could not install ANY windows in the beginning) i got a bios update.
consider that.
pls do also check Your version of via chip drivers.
the first versions with the leading 4.xx where buggy.

Thanks,
I will check my Via Chipset. After I took out one of the 256K my computer is stable now. Still would like to use the other 256. I also upgraded to a 900 which was a great improvement.
