At work I have an NT4 workstation set for the public, with 8 profiles with only one being the admins that can delete or make any changes. My problem is that when I boot up no matter in which profile after the desktop is loaded a window opens with System32 files in it. I click it off and that's no problem but is there any way I can stop this from happening, it is inconvenient because I have to be there at boot up cos I'm not sure if anyone can delete these files. Your help would be appreciated

Peggy, What John Savill says is :Start the Registry Editor (regedit.exe).
Open this registry key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Run and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Run
Verify that all the values in these keys do not contain any incorrect, incomplete, or null entries (such as "").
If the (Default) Name variable has a value of "" (an empty string), delete the Name variable. After the deletion, the value for (Default) should be "(value not set)".
