When I open Windows Explorer I want it to directly open the contents of "My Computer" instead of "My Documents". Actually I would like to remove "My Documents" completely from Windows Explorer if possible. I am running 98, 2000 and XP.

skywalka,
Change the Target line in the shortcut to:

You can take My Documents out of C:\ but if you do, a lot of other programs won't find the default file locations, such as Microsoft Office. You will have to go into each program and somewhere in Settings, Options, or Preferences, reset the default document location to wherever you want it. And you will have to do it while booted to each OS.

Thanx
Close but not quite. I've found the solution. Try these switches.
/n, /e, /select, c:\

I don't want to actually make the folder nonexistent. I just don't want it displayed in the "Windows Explorer" program where it is glorified. It is a place for unorganized or inexperienced people 2 dump stuff. I have my files meticulously sorted and spanned over 3 harddrives and this folder's unwarranted rank just slows me down.
Thanx
