HI~
I have two question to ask......

I have two computers, both using using winme.
I use winme ICS function to let my client computer can connect to internet. ie

client ----lan(10Mb, full duplex)----server----lan(10Mb, full duplex)----cable modem-----ISP(DSL/Cable Modem, 3Mb)-----Internet

I use RASPPPOE v0.96 to make Broadband connection.

I found my server's connection is very fast,
but my client's connection is a bit slow.
For example, i download directx8.1
on my server one, it is just 20 seconds.
(about 350KB/s)
but i download on my client one, it take 1 min.
(about 100KB/S)

I found this in the registry guide.

Increase Transfer Rates with ICS and Broadband Connections (Windows 98)
Category: Home > Network > Internet and Remote Access

I would like to ask is that registry key is suitable for me? If yes, I should put it into my client computer or my server one?

I think the problem cause because MTU size between two computers in my home is too small.
So what adjustment can i make?

The second question is that when i 'logout' and then 'login' the window in my server computer,
it will automatically make the connection to internet!(though my account's connection time is unlimited, i think it is very inconvenient)
But it doesn't occur when i boot my compuuter.
How can i prevent that?

Thanks ^.^
