I know that the F1, etc. keys can be programmed to launch applications. Does anyone know the steps necessary to do this? I appreciate any help you guys may provide. Thanks.

I would leave the function keys as they are and use something else instead.
To create a shortcut to an app using a HOTKEY:
Find the shortcut on the programs menu. Right click and choose properties. Look at the shortcut key. Click on it to mark it.
Press F1 to make F1 the hotkey. Click OK.
OR press ALT+a keypad number on the far right numeric keyboard. Click OK

Or Press ALT+a Letter on the Keyboard to creat a shortcut you'll press CTRL+ALT +the letter you chose. Click OK

Mosaic1, I agree with you. Unfortunately, I set up F1 and F2 to launch apps a while ago and realized a few days later it was a mistake. I would like to change the link or association for F1 and F2 back to "None" but can't remember how. Any ideas? Thanks for the response.

When you press these function keys, what happens? Does an application start? If so, fine the shortcut to that application, choose properties and backspace on the shortcut key entry to erase it. The function key should be back to normal now.

Mosaic1- thanks, that worked. I had already tried what you suggested but didn't notice that the F1 launch was in the Properties for "link" 2, rather than the main shortcut. I appreciate your assistance.
