Hi:

A friend of mine (not computer literate) has a poblem when first turning on her system. She recently started getting a flag when she first starts up her CPU, stating "The EXPLORER.EXE file is linked to missing export KERNEL32.DLL" and she would click "OK" and all was well.

I found out that she was running version 5.0 and told her to install version 6.0 and maybe the KERNEL file would be overwritten and all would be ok again. She did install v. 6.0 and it runs fine, but on startup of the CPU she still gets this flag. I had her check the registery and verify the file was still there and it is.

Can anyoone suggest how this problem can be resolved??

Thanks in advance.
