Hello,
I'm running an open source p2p server application on Windows 2000 pro that was created for *nix platforms, that has been compiled for Windows platforms. Running this program on *nix platform I can host about 1,500 users; while on the Windows platform the program cores out and crashes @ 1,015 users, reaching a hard limit of 1,024. I've been told this is a Windows limitation. I'm a hardcore Win2k enthusiast, and I don't believe Windows 2000 is limited to much. I figure this is a variable I can change and hope it's as simple as a registry edit.
I've been desperately searching for a solution and hope someone here can help me.
Thank in advance,
Card
(oh, by the way, if anyone has Windows NT source code please contact me or reply here *jokes*)
*(*since there isn't a console/shell environment on Windows, I believe this application runs via cmd.exe*)*
is this maybe a thread limit per process?
