I currently need to flash my bios and it requires me to boot into pure dos mode to perform this. They suggested to copy the files onto a floppy and boot from floppy. However I get an error, I can't remember exactly, but it started with an N. Anyways, any ideas I can get into pure dos?
You can't make a bootable DOS floppy using W2K.
You'll need to use a Win9x based system to make the disk. (Use [format A: /s] under the Win9x system)

You can download a boot disk, say MS-DOS 6.22, from www.bootdisk.com . MS-DOS 6.22/Win9x can't see the hard drive if it is NTFS and MS-DOS 6.22 can't see FAT32 drives, but this is of no concern since you don't even need a hard drive plugged in to flash the BIOS. Just get the boot disk (minimum files=MSDOS.SYS, IO.SYS, COMMAND.COM), and have the flash program and data file on it if they will fit or on another floppy.
