When i use windows to add my webcam it loads the driver twice. Why is it doing this? I can take one driver out myself but windows puts it back when i reboot. The cam works fine with just the one driver but when it adds two i cant get windows to load without being in safety mode.???

When I installed the web cam on my puter the instruction said do not connect the web cam until the install program instruct you to.... did you do that or did you connect the web cam then do the install...
you could unplug the cam reboot and try uninstallling the web cam stuff also remove it in the device manager.

what kind of web cam is it

the web cam (intel easy cam) that I have has some updates but the updates where not for this problem... as with all microsoft sites it is kind of hard to navigate so if you need help just yell

Mac is right. This plug&play is sometimes bothering.
You'll have to repeat the lesson "REBOOT".
1. Unplug the cam, uninstall programs, remove drivers, REBOOT.
2. Startup Windows, plug the cam, driver will be installed, REBOOT. If Windows will indentify the cam again, go to step 1.
3. If you repeated 1. read README on your installation disk. PERHAPS there's written the installation procedure of your webcam. :-)
