restart / shutdown

Hi guys,
Sorry for posting what i think has been answered before but i cannot find exactly the same question after earching for ages.

When the shutdown process is requested in win98, the system reboots instead of shutting down.
How do i fix this please?

ok there was two fixes
This was one the other was a key but i'm in the same boat I'm looking for it
1- did you download the shutdown supplement

the key was on the same page for the windows 98 scroll down the page see prev post above

but the key i saw was simply to enable/ disable fast shutdown - am i wrong?

here is what I pulled out of my registry win98SE if I change it to 1 my puter reboots and will never shut down

REGEDIT4

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Shutdown]
"FastReboot"="0"
