Any way to set registry to about 4 days ago?

I back up my registry all the time and I need to go back to about December 4th because my files are messed up and I have tried everything. m I get a C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\SHDOCLC.DLL error when I open Internet Explorer and nothing works. WHere are the backups that yopu create? I can't find them anywhere. P>S> I already have tried the cab files.

If it is Win98, shut down to a command prompt (not in a window) and type: scanreg
It will check your registry for errors and one of the choices will be to restore the registry. Pick the one with the date before the problem.
