I've changed default path for my personal folders in windows 98 , like Start menu folder, STartup etc.
Now my widows collects Star menu items from the other location on my disk , but there is a problem because some applications like MS Office , still have their icons in Start/Programs folder , and Paltlak for example is still in my StartUp menu. In my new location for personal folders i have deleted all those icons but i still have them in my Start/Programs menu.
Does anyone have some idea how can i move those icons from Start/Programs menu ?

P.S. I've made those changes of default changes with registry change under HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Explorer/User Shell Folders.
New path for Star menu is made with modifying String value called Start Menu , with new string value of the new path

my only words of advise IS:

you don't mesh with mother nature
don't drink the water

When you start changing the default folders you will have problems down the road

when you update program or uninstall something.. when you installed microsoft office it has alot of options all of these options are recorded in the registry where and how they are installled. It also records who has premission to install the extra's as you go along.... I did my main install on the default desktop when I add a extra to MSO I have to go to the default desktop to add the function.... I only did the main install once because I didn't want all the extra keys.....

Allot of the program are programmed to look at the folders they where install in

So when you change the default folder name it is like when your parents moved and didn't tell you the address..

Your opinion doesn't stink, if fact it was excellent!

You might consider removing the last line of your signature coolsights.

Sorry! reghakr

If I offended you but moving the folders and files and changing the defaults is one of my pet peas.

I have played with MSO
If you load it on a users desktop then remove that users desktop it screws up all the other desktops even if you had installed it on each desktop.... So you only load it on the default desktop....

same goes for any program I only load it on the other user profiles if it needs a registry key to run right,,,

The registry is already a organized tangled mesh why make it worse....
