I'll take a wild guess and say a "time tag" is the AM or PM you see displayed?

Is that correct?

Yes reghakr(GURU),
when you right click on a name and select time.Instead of showing their time you see whatever message they have inserted instead.
Any ideas??? cheers.......

This particular forum has several different features and that particular chat room has other features.

Since we do not know which chat room offered this feature I would recommend asking the same question at that particular chat room.

If you click on my name then you will see my profile. Perhaps this is what you are referring to at the chat room.

I bet it's a plug-in applicable to that chat program only. I know AOL has something similar.

There was a program called Ellicit Desktop which supposedly performs this trick. I can't find it on the website. Here's a link:

<a target="_blank" href=http://www.ellicit.org>http://www.ellicit.org</a>

They do produce a chat program called MatrixChat.
Y
ou should be able to do it manually by going to HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\International

Right-click on these strings and type in your text:
s1159
s2359

Thanks reghakr,
I think you are on the right track with your registry suggestion.the chat where I have seen it done is in MSN.
Your suggestion from what I have found out from others is valid, however when I go into my regsitry and look at HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\International all I have is (default)___(value not set) and then under GEO another default with value not set and Nation "12". Nowhere can I see the strings you have suggested.
I hope this can give you some idea as to what I need to do and in the meantime I will try and chase it up in that link you have provided.
thanx again,
Mark

hello,
it can be done by tweaking the key:
(HKEY_CURRTUSR\CONTROLPANEL\INTERNATIONAL)create a new string valueas s1159&s2359 if it exists as am&pm then type the as morning etc there.in your case remove the text in that set as AM&PM as default.TRY IT AND MAIL THE RESULT TO :nsvasan123@rediffmail.com

fiddler,

backup the registry and/or export the following keys:
go to Start&gt;Run, type regedit. Navigate to:

HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\International

Right-click on the International key, choose new&gt;String Value, name it s1159. This is normally AM. Right-click on the s1159, choose modify and type in whatever you like.

Do the same with s2359. This one is normally PM.
