I am using Internet Explorer 6.0 and in tools>internet options>connections>lan settings I am trying to uncheck "use automatic configuration script" It stays unchecked as long as I have IE open. If I shut it down and restart it, the check comes back. I have read the forum and came across this:
It's in this subkey.
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Internet Settings\Connections]
the binary value data of the values..
DefaultConnectionSettings
SavedLegacySettings
change after you add or remove the check.
depending on how you want to implement the tweak..
Add or remove the check then close out.
export the Connections subkey. Now you have the tweak on the fly.
I have checked the box, looked at the key, unchecked the box, looked at the key, and noticed it does change. How do I keep it unchecked? It mentioned something about exporting the connections subkey....How do I do that?
