Do you want it not to be there when you start your PC, do you want a way to close it when you are done with it or a way to remove the icon form the system tray before you use it? These are different questions with different answers.

That's the only way that I know of. The program has to be actively on the screen.

I don't think it can be done. The fastest way to close it out whether it's on the screen or not is to right click the icon in Systray and choose exit.
