Removing the GoBack image @ bootup

I'm running Win98SE, a couple days ago I reformatted my hard drive. I did not disable or uninstall GoBack before doing so. The Problem is, that after the reformatting, the GoBack screen image that shows up at boot up still shows up, even after not having it installed. I'm needing to remove it from loading, I tried installing GoBack again and then uninstalling, hoping it'll help, but it didn't help any. I am wanting to upgrade my O/S back to WinMe or WinXP, but GoBack is blocking me from installing WinXP. How do I remove the GoBack image from loading at bootup? I e-mailed GoBack support, but no answer. I wish for someone to help me with this, in removing the GoBack image from loading. Thank you very much for your time and effort.

This may help, can't hurt:
Boot to your floppy and at the A:\> prompt, type fdisk /mbr. Might have to re-boot and do it again. This rebuilds the Master Boot Record in the hard drive. You might also try, at the A:\> prompt, sys c:. That puts a fresh boot system on the hard drive.
