I have just installed a new drive along with my other two drives. All of them are partitioned so I have several drives . My problem is after install of new drive all my existing drives were assigned new drive letters now progams installed on those existing drives are looking for old drives. all info still on drive how do I associate program with new drive letter.

The issue is that the computer assigns physical hard drive letters before it does partitions. So the 2nd drive becomes D, 2nd partition on 1st drive become E, etc. but then the CD is the last in the sequence. I have found that simply copying a program than ended up on, say, F could be copied to D and usually would work, as that is where the registry said it was. I also have done a search in regedit for all references to the CD and changed the drive letter to the new one and not had a problem.
