W32.Badtrans.B@mm virus

I have been told that I should go to this site, http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.badtrans.b@mm.removal.tool.html and download this scan...one problem, I have Win ME and I don't know how to disable System Restore...please help me, I am as computer illiterate as you can get.

Go to the opening page of the Symantec website:
http://www.symantec.com/
Click on the W32.Batrans.B@mm link that is red in color. Read the whole article then print it in the "Printer friendly format" at the top of the article. This article tells you how to disable the System Restore option and has other links that you may need to use. Follow the directions exactly in the article that you printed and you should have NO PROBLEMS! I am not a computer whiz either but Symantec really makes it easy for all levels of users to deal with a virus.
