To configure the general settings for Firewall Plus, click on Settings in the left navigation menu and click on the General tab.
Display traffic information in tray icon: Having this enabled allows you to view a graphical representation of traffic in the Windows tray icon.
Prompt to confirm changing an application's allow/block status: When you check this setting, each time that you change the allow/block status of an application, a prompt message will ask you to confirm your action.
Automatically allow known applications: Enabling this setting will automatically allow a "whitelist" of known applications, as defined by PC Tools.
Check for updates automatically: Enabling this will make automatic daily checks for updates to Firewall Plus.
Language Options : Allows you to select the language for the Firewall Plus GUI
