There are two user modes in Firewall Plus.

The Normal User Mode makes it easy for everyday users to keep their computers safe whilst connecting to the Internet or any other network, and does not require in-depth technical know-how.

In the Expert User Mode, Firewall Plus allows you  greater control over how your computers and applications connect and interact with the Internet/network. In the Expert User Mode, you have additional options to create custom rules for applications, and to control the traffic to the port-level. You are also presented with more detailed pop-ups that facilitate a greater understanding of the connections made by the applications.

You may easily shift between the two modes. Click on Settings in the left navigation menu and click on the User tab. Select Expert User or Normal User and click Apply.
