Clean and Optimize

With Disk Suite you can safely Cleanup and Optimize your Windows® disks with a few simple mouse clicks. Disks can become bloated with temporary files, log files and other unnecessary data. The Cleanup and Optimize feature lets you safely remove unnecessary files and bloat from your PC without detailed knowledge of the Windows® file system. Removing bloat will not only make your PC perform better, it but will also provide you with more free space to store your own files.

Disk Defrag

Fragmented drives drain critical system resources, compromise the ability to access your files efficiently and slow down Windows® PC startup. Therefore, defragmentation is one of the best ways to boost system performance by optimizing the file arrangement on the disk. By reorganizing the files using the disk defrag feature, the process for accessing those files becomes more efficient, creates a greater amount of free space on the hard drive and allows you to use that space more effectively.

The defrag feature provides you with a powerful defragmentation tool that supports both NTFS and FAT file systems. Different levels of defragmentation are provided in case you just need a quick defrag of your PC or you want to schedule a complete optimization of your disk.

Backup & Restore

The Backup feature allows you to make copies of your data that can be restored in the event that you need to recover lost files or restore damaged or corrupted files. Regular backup is one of the most important steps you can take to ensure you don’t lose irreplaceable data and files such as photos, documents and other information.

The Backup feature in Disk Suite allows you to tailor the backup to meet your needs by selectively choosing the files to protect. This feature also allows you to restore files as needed as well as verify your backup to ensure valuable data can be recovered as needed.

Diagnostics and Repair

Physical disk and file corruption are the main causes of data loss. The Repair feature allows you to actively monitor the health of your disk and file systems and where possible repair corruption and errors. It also allows you to schedule or directly run different types of disk integrity checks and identify future disk corruption so issues can be quickly discovered and resolved.

The repair feature performs integrity checks to check file system structure. It also performs surface scans to check for bad sectors and disk errors as well as repair hard drive problems. In addition the repair feature includes hard disk diagnostics and allows you to review the information including the S.M.A.R.T. (Self-Monitoring Analysis and Reporting Technology) status of your hard drive (if supported).

Clean and Optimize

With Disk Suite you can clean common temporary files or log files as well as user defined files or folders to improve system performance. Disk Suite can also link to commonly used Windows® functions to perform a system restore or uninstall Windows® programs. It also includes components to provide optimum system performance and provide you with more free space.

Disk Defragmentation
Defragmentation allows you to reorganize the stored files on the disk and store the defragmented files closer together to create a greater amount of free space on the hard disk as well as utilize the space on your hard drive more efficiently.

With Disk Suite you can customize a defrag operation to exclude specific files, perform a quick or full defrag or just analyze the disk. Disk Suite also allows you to review the progress of the defrag operation via the graphical progress display.

Backup and Restore
Disk Suite allows you to configure the Backup tool to protect a range of pre-configured or user-defined disk areas as well as backup the entire hard disk. It can also verify the quality of the last backup and search and restore from a previous backup.

Diagnostics and Repair
Physical disk and file corruption are the main causes of data loss. With Disk Suite you can monitor your hard disks' and file systems' "health" via the S.M.A.R.T. feature available in some hard drives. This feature allows you to identify future disk corruption, perform disk integrity checks and scan the disk surface for errors or repair disk corruptions using Disk Suite. In addition, you can repair Master Boot records for Windows® 2000, XP and Vista Operating Systems.

An enhanced Graphical User Interface (GUI)
Consistent with PC Tools' full product range, Disk Suite's user interface is intuitive and easy-to-use to ensure a productive user experience.

Scheduler
Any of the tasks available within Disk Suite can be controlled via an intuitive task Scheduler. The Scheduler allows the tailoring of Disk maintenance tasks to Daily, Weekly, and Monthly or on boot.
