PC Tools ( www.pctools.com ) is a hugely successful and rapidly expanding leading international software company in need of Malware Analysts.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a person with outstanding Windows knowledge to become involved in malware Analysis on Windows based security and utility software. This is an entry level role and suits recent graduates.

We are a fast growing software company exporting products globally and we are looking for an applicant with outstanding analytical skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. With on the job training provided by experts in their field, your primary responsibility will be to analyse and identify malware in support of customers around the world. You will work within a closely-knit team.

Responsibilities include:

• Define, research, update and test malware library
• Product development including analysis, design, programming and documentation
• Perform structured product testing and QA tasks
• Provide 3rd level problem resolution
• Determines software requirements (script or static entry) to solve problems
• Adapts existing database as required to maintain threat detection & removal
• Answers queries from support and/or clients on database software problems
• Installs and downloads appropriate software (threats and tools) 
• Ensures efficient use of applications (scanners and monitors)

To be considered for this role you will have:

• Must have IT related Degree (desirable)
• Windows-understanding of security settings, permissions and relationships between registry keys.
• Excellent technical knowledge of all Microsoft Windows client operating systems.
• Excellent and disciplined analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer focus
• Be a self-starter, have the ability to work autonomously and have excellent problem solving skills.
• Have a positive attitude and enjoy teamwork.
