Uninstalling and upgrading PC Tools AntiVirus

Uninstalling

To uninstall PC Tools AntiVirus from your PC, ensure that the application has been closed. Next, click on Start -> All Programs / Programs -> PC Tools AntiVirus (folder) -> Uninstall PC Tools AntiVirus. Follow the prompts to remove the application from your computer.

Alternatively you can uninstall PC Tools AntiVirus through the Windows Control Panel by completing the following steps:

  1. Ensure that the application has been closed, then open the Windows Control Panel by clicking Start -> (Settings ->) Control Panel.

  2. In the Control Panel, click or double-click Add or Remove programs / Add/Remove Programs.

  3. In the list of currently installed programs/software, click the PC Tools AntiVirus item to select it.

  4. Click the Remove / Add/Remove... button and follow the prompts to remove the application from your computer.

Upgrading

To update or upgrade PC Tools AntiVirus:

Use PC Tools AntiVirus' Smart Update feature. This feature updates PC Tools AntiVirus' virus definitions, new application files for enhancements in functionality and Help updates.

Alternatively, download the new release of PC Tools AntiVirus from the PC Tools web site and install it onto your PC.
