OnGuard Settings

The OnGuard Settings category allows you to customize the behavior of OnGuard when it detects viruses or related malware files being accessed on your system.

Action to be performed on a detected item

The following actions can be assigned independently to either infected or suspicious files detected by OnGuard's File Guard tool (OnGuard Scan):

• Quarantine - automatically quarantines the detected file.

• Remove - automatically removes the detected file.

• Prompt Me - prompts you to quarantine or remove a detected file.

Note: To set the equivalent actions for infected or suspicious files detected through a File Scan, refer to the Scan Settings.
