

The following is a description of the Main Status screen:
Scan Your Computer - Click this button to start an immediate Full Scan of your computer for viruses and related malware threats.
Activate OnGuard Protection - Click this button to activate or deactivate the OnGuard real-time protection feature. To modify the protection settings, click the OnGuard button on the left of PC Tools AntiVirus' screen. Note: While OnGuard is activated, this button indicates Deactivate OnGuard Protection.
Settings - Click this button to display the Settings screen where you can access PC Tools AntiVirus' General, Log, Startup, Scheduler, Scan and OnGuard settings.
Restore Infections from Quarantine - Click to view, remove or restore the items that were placed into quarantine. Note: due to the complex and evolving nature of some viruses and other malware, it may not be possible to restore all items quarantined.
Click here to View Results List - Click to view the cumulative results of all threats that were detected through OnGuard, including those detected in the last scan. Note that scan results are not cumulative.
Click to Reset Statistics - click to reset the scan statistics shown on the Status & Summary section of this screen.
Last Smart Update - Indicates the date when the Smart Update tool was last run to completion. A yellow warning is displayed if a Smart Update has not been conducted in over one week, and a red warning displays if this period exceeds one month.
Last Scan - Indicates the date when the computer was last scanned. (This value displays never upon resetting the statistics or if a scan has not been conducted since installing the product.) A yellow warning is displayed if a File Scan has not been conducted in over one week, and a red warning displays if this period exceeds one month.
Virus Definition Version - Indicates the version number of the current virus definitions.
Virus Definitions - Indicates the total number of virus definitions in the current Virus Definition Version.
Subscription Expires - Indicates the date when your current PC Tools AntiVirus license expires. After this date, you cannot obtain any further Virus Definition and product updates, unless you renew your subscription. A yellow, followed by a red warning displays as your subscription or trial period approaches its expiry date.
