AV 3.6 incorporates a new and improved engine which allows for:

• A smaller database size
• Better detection rate
• Improved suspicious detection
• Smaller memory usage

Overall Progress bar implemented

An additional Overall Progress bar along with the Status Scan progress bar which indicates the scan advance more intuitively.

Ignore option added to the action list and Prompt Me alert

AV 3.6. has added an Ignore option to the Prompt Me alert, which gives you more freedom about how to handle infected or suspicious items. If the user clicks the Ignore button, PC Tools AntiVirus will leave the infected or suspicious item alone.

Standalone service

AV 3.6. incorporates the enhanced functionality of the service continuing to run even when the client itself is absent. While the IntelliGuard feature is turned  on, PC Tools AntiVirus will continue to monitor your system even when the PC Tools AntiVirus client is closed. While IntelliGuard is turned on, the service  will automatically detect and quarantine infected or suspicious items. In addition, the standalone service is also able to carry out scheduled scans without the PC Tools AntiVirus client.

Standard user support on Vista platform

AV 3.6 provides standard user support for Vista.
