The Scheduler Settings category allows you to schedule Full Scans and Smart Updates as well as checks for Smart Updates to occur at specified times or intervals.

To access this screen, click on Settings in the left navigation menu and select Scheduler Settings. Click on the tabs to navigate between Full Scan and Smart Update settings.

Schedule a Full Scan

1. Click on the Full Scan tab.

2. Check Activate Scheduled Full Scan function.

3. Select the Scheduled Time : In the format displayed, enter the time you want the scan to run.

4. Select the Scheduled Pattern: This can be any one of the following:

• Daily -  runs a full scan for any selected day interval up to 99 days. Move the slider to set the interval required.

• Weekly - runs a full scan on a specified day of the week.

• Monthly - runs a full scan for any specified date within a month. Note that if the specified date exceeds the maximum possible for any given month, the Full Scan will be scheduled to run on the last date of that month.

Scheduled check for Smart Updates

To activate scheduled checks for Smart Updates and the Scheduled Smart Update function:

1. Click on the Smart Update tab.

2. Check the Automatically search for updates box and display prompt box.

3. Select the Frequency of searches. Set a time interval when PC Tools AntiVirus conducts a check for Smart Updates. This time interval can be set for a period of up to 1 day. If Smart Updates are found on the server, a pop-up notification displays.

Schedule Smart Update

This option runs PC Tools Smart Update feature at a specified time and interval.

1. Click on the Smart Update tab.

2. Check Activate Scheduled Smart Update box. You can now set the following options:
