Custom scanning

A custom scan allows you to specify the parts of your system you wish to include in the scan.


To run a custom scan:


1. Click on the button Scan in the left navigation menu present in all screens.


2. Select Custom Scan under Select Scan Type. This will display a selection tree. If an external drive such as a USB drive is added to or removed from your computer, the selection tree is updated dynamically to indicate the addition or removal of these drives. Select the items and areas you wish to include in the scan by ticking the check boxes.


3. If you wish to exclude specific files, folders or file types from the scan, click Scan Exclusions at the lower right of the custom scan selection box. This will open up a new window.



4. Click Start Scan located at the bottom of the screen.


Note: You may stop the scan at any time by clicking the Stop Scan link.


The scan status is indicated by a Status Scan progress bar and an Overall progress bar. The following details are also listed:



When the scan is complete, the scan results are displayed.
