These settings apply to the File Guard real-time scanning feature when it is activated.

Actions to be performed on a detected item

Allows you to configure what action PC Tools AntiVirus should take when a suspicious or infected file is detected.

Click on 'Settings' in the left navigation menu and then click on File Guard. Use the drop-down menu to select an action.

• Quarantine - automatically quarantines the file
• Remove - automatically removes the file

• Ignore -  Will ignore the item.
• Prompt Me - Will alert you to choose remove, quarantine or ignore the item.

Exclusions from scan

This allows you to select files and folders with a particular name or file-type extension to be excluded from either a scan or detection through IntelliGuard.

1. Click on IntelliGuard in the left navigation menu and then click on File Guard.

2. Click Scan Exclusions. This will open up a new window.

• Click Add Folder/File to browse for files or folder to be excluded from this scan.
• Click Add File Type to select file types to be excluded from this scan. You can also add a custom file type to this list.
